A Red Phone to Raise Money to Fight AIDS
According to The Guardian, as of next week you'll be able to buy a red mobile phone as the campaign to fight Aids, tuberculosis and malaria in the developing world goes mobile.
Product Red, the brainchild of U2 frontman Bono, will on Monday unveil a red version of Motorola's stylish SLVR handset. Buy the phone and £5 ($9.50) goes straight to combating the diseases that are ravaging Africa.
... "Motorola is the latest big brand to join Bono's colour-co-ordinated humanitarian venture. Profits from specially created products by Gap, Converse and Armani, as well as 1% of all spending on the red Amex card, go to the cause."
A picture of the phone will probably be posted on either Engadget Mobile or Gizmodo way before Monday.
