McAfee Granted Wireless Update Patent

McAfee has been granted a patent entitled "Updating Computer Files on Wireless Data Processing Devices", according to Security Pro News.

"Various systems, programs and processes for updating wireless devices are covered in this patent.

Specifically, the technology can update a file on a wireless device with a more current version that exists on another device.

"This technology caters to wireless environments," said McAfee Mobile Senior Vice President Victor Kouznetsov. "To accommodate updating wireless devices, portions of updates may be stored as and when they become available."
