Technophilia and "Crush Freaks"
The Internet is definitely a mind opening place. Today I came across an article on "Crush Freaks", a sub group of fetishists "who find find erotic pleasure in watching insects mashed beneath women's powerful heels - but also food, balloons, electronics or toys".
According to AZCentral, "Crush freaks" find erotic pleasure in watching insects mashed beneath women's powerful heels. And for fetishists (mostly male) who love to replay the action, videos are increasingly available online that depict the act of crushing to serve their expanding audience.
... Jeremy Biles, who teaches religion and literature at the University of Chicago and is the author of the paper "I, Insect, or Bataille and the Crush Freaks.", suggests that the crush fetish is also a form of technophilia, in which the insects symbolize machines; this hypothesis is supported by the fact that some crush freaks prefer the destruction of electronics like cell phones or laptops."
