Talking SMS

talking.gif Aircel, theleading cellular operators in in Tamil Nadu (India), on Friday introduced a value-added service 'Talking SMS,'. "With 'Talking SMS' a subscriber could talk and send SMS, giving a 'personal touch and feel' to the communication, an Aircel release said, according to the Hindustan Times.

"To use the facility, subscribers dial 545, followed by the recipient number and record the message.

With an option to edit, the message, based on confirmation would be sent to the receiver. The recipient has to dial a toll free number 535 to retrieve the talking SMS."
