Nepal Govt Cuts Cell Phone Service Ahead Of Protest Rally
Nepal's royal government severed cellular mobile services in the Nepalese capital Saturday in an apparent attempt to foil an anti-government rally in Katmandu, informs Cellular News.
The cellular phones stopped working Saturday morning hours before the alliance of seven major political parties opposing King Gyanendra were to hold a protest rally in the heart of Katmandu, on the third day of a crippling general strike.
