SMS spam causes outrage
Thousands of cellphone subscribers were spammed with Chinese New Year greetings by a mobile content company, which later billed recipients $1 for each text message, reports the Malaysia

"mTouche said on Friday it had contacted M1, SingTel and StarHub to cancel the charges to all those affected.
mTouche is a local subsidiary of a Malaysian company that provides the gateway for businesses to send marketing messages to phone subscribers.
mTouche said the text messages originated from its client, MyGlobal Fun. The messages were meant to be free but subscribers were billed because of a “technical error."
