The Guardian to your mobile phone

Guardian 2.gif Guardian Unlimited has announced that it is to test launch a downloadable news application that works across most mobile phones in the UK and internationally.

The service is provided by On2Go and free to users for the duration of the beta test.

Guardian Unlimited mobile offers the same live news stories that users might find at www.guardian.co.uk, but users can personalise the topics they subscribe to and the order in which they appear. On2Go plans to add other content providers to the service in the next few months.

Subscribers only pay network charges to use the service – it typically costs less than a penny to read a story. [e-mail Press Release]
