Homobile
Springwise via Trendwatch reports on businesses and services targeting the Gay Dollar or Pink Pound which they describe "as particularly clever, given the gay community's spending power, trend setting aura, and loyalty towards brands that actually acknowlegde their existence."
Related to cell phones, they describe Danish CBB Mobile a mobile virtual network operator that's targeting Denmark's approximately 250,000 gay consumers with its GAYmobile service ('a service that's gay all the way'). They launched in October and according to 160characters.org, it's probably the first ever service provider/MVNO that is directly targeted towards homosexual mobile users.
Their business model has a nice touch: 25% of profits are channeled back to the gay community. "
