“Kill a Carinthian Slovene”-SMS leads to criminal probe
A group calling itself Campaign Clean Carinthia (“Aktion Sauberes Kärnten”) has sent text messages instigating hatred against the Slovene minority in the province, reports Wiener Zeitung, English News from Austria.
"The messages read: “By opening this SMS you have just killed a ‘Carinthian Slovene’. Send this SMS to someone else to take part in ‘Clean Carinthia’!”
... Under the law on “Verhetzung”, i.e. instigating public hatred against an ethnic or religious group, people forwarding this SMS might also be punished. "
