Phones for drugs
Mobile phones stolen in Britain are being traded for drugs in a global black market worth more than £140million, reports the Daily Record.
"Detectives yesterday revealed that criminal gangs were shipping the handsets to more than 40 countries and using them to get drugs -including heroin - which were then smuggled to Britain.
More than 700,000 handsets are stolen every year, according to the National Mobile Phone Crime Unit. "
