New mobile spam trap system filters out unwanted messages
The Korea Herald reports on a "spam-tracking system will be implemented in February which the government expects will drastically reduce unsolicited calls and messages".
"The system, he first of its kind, to be operated by the government-run Information Security Agency, automatically filters out a good part of unidentified text messages leading to internet websites and "one-ring" calls with which the user is left with an unknown number.
Until now, it was only possible to block mobile spams by reporting to a mobile carrier's call center or website."
