China Trials First Mobile Phone Newspaper

The Shenzhen Press Group and China Mobile Shenzhen have teamed up to launch the beta test of Shenzhen Mobile Phone Paper, China’s first registered mobile newspaper. It is free until March with a 10 RMB (US$1.20) monthly subscription fee from April, reports Moco News.

“Right now, the content for the service is mainly from the relevant newspapers owned by the Shenzhen Press Group, but they say they will soon arrange a special editing team to be responsible for collecting and editing content for the service.”
