Mobile Phone Rain

Mobile Phone Rain is not a new cool feature, it is an Asian Pop star called Rain. (picture left).

Pantech signed a deal with Rain to promote it's mobile phones in China to gain a 5% market share in three years.

This is an interesting move to hire a male "gadget model" to promote consumer electronics in Asia. Pantech chose Rain as their brand ambassador on the basis that the singer’s key attributes are young, energetic, positive and trend setting.

In Russia Pantech went the traditional way and features it's phones with female models. [via I4U]
