Vertu Makes Diamond Phones for the Holidays

According to PlatinumToday, Nokia's Vertu, the high-end mobile producer, is preparing to ship the first of its new range of platinum and diamond-set handsets next week. [via Luxist]

Only 200 of the handsets are being produced. The phone features eight carats worth of pavé set diamonds. The keypad itself is in a body of white gold (or platinum) and has ruby bearings and ceramic. The $88,300 phone comes with a one year warranty.

No picture yet. Maybe later today on Engadget.
