Halloween. Cell phone tips and costumes
With Halloween around the corner and just like last year, U.S. Cellular is offering tips and free safety kits to keep in touch on Halloween. For instance:
-- While planning a trick-or-treat route, parents can pre-program the cell phone with updates to send from certain points along the way.
-- A cell phone's alarm clock is another great tool for parents. When they set a curfew Halloween night, parents can set their kids' cell phone alarm clock to give them a reminder when it's time to head home.
-- Emergency phone numbers can be pre-programmed into the phone so that children can get help quickly. [via Moberly Monitor-Index]
While we're at it, last year, Engadget had their own idea. Their suggestion: "Pretend you're not home and dress up all of your gadgets in little costumes like these ones and have your own little party".
Or of course, there's the 2004 Japanese classic of dressing like an actual Keita or the equally elegant US version which is inflatable.
Our recommendation for this year? dress up as a paparazzi!
