Ad rap for mobile phone giant

orange.gif This is Money reports that mobile phone giant Orange has been criticised for an advertising campaign which misled UK customers.

The 'double talk, double text' adverts wrongly implied that existing customers could get the same deal as new users, the Advertising Standards Authority said.

Orange's campaign was misleading because it did not make the conditions and restrictions of the offer clear, the industry watchdog ruled.

The campaign ran across television, national press, the internet and posters."
