Permanent ultraviolet markers to deter and trace stolen phones

uv_property_marking_pen.jpg This is something new. A burglary assessor is promoting property marking with permanent ultraviolet markers and will demonstrate how to mark items such as mobile phones, satellite navigation systems, laptops...

Entitled "Mark It, Make It Safe', the campaign will be held at the Rotherham Show next weekend with the South Yorkshire Police. Members of the public will be encourage to mark their property with both a postcode and house number to deter burglars and to trace and identify any stolen property. [Press release]
