Channel 100 enables users to send SMS about hurricane Katrina

This e-mail just came in.

"I wanted to let you know that Channel 100 on Direct TV in the US is allowing users to send an SMS message to 48433 about hurricane Katrina.

There isn't an official press release yet, I saw it on my channel guide this morning. It's a great example of SMS being used to help connect people". (Thanks Eric!)
