SMS Suspect arrested for SMS Bomb hoaxes in Malaysia.
Police believe they have solved the series of SMS bomb hoax cases in Malaysia recently following the arrest of a 23-year-old Indonesian salesman from Medan, reports The Straits Times.
State police chief Datuk Christopher Wan Soo Kee said investigations showed the suspect was responsible for sending six SMS warnings to the Penang Police hotline on Tuesday and Wednesday, about bombs that would be detonated in various buildings, including the Bayan Lepas International Airport.
The offence, under Section 28 of the Internal Security Act 1960, carries a maximum one year's jail and RM1,000 fine."
