Survey: Companies monitoring Employees Cell Phones

In a report by the American Management Association and the ePolicy Institute, entitlted 2005 Electronic Monitoring & Surveillance Surve<, a survey on company policies to monitor their employees, this part is related to cell phones:

"... As for cell phone use, 27% have a written policy governing personal matters, and 19% said they have a policy outlining the capture and transmission of camera-phone images.

Eight percent use GPS technology to monitor company vehicles; 8% to track employee identification cards; and 5% to track company cell phones. [via Rednova]
