Pantech & Curitel ready to enter Japanese market

In the last quarter of this year, Pantech & Curitel will become the first Korean mobile phone maker to enter the Japanese market, reports JoonAng Daily.

"Pantech & Curitel announced yesterday that after completing an analysis of Japanese consumers, it has signed a contract with KDDI, Japan's second-largest mobile communications operator, to sell mobile phones using CDMA2000 1x, a third generation wireless protocol. CDMA stands for code division multiple access".
