Mobile phone newspaper subscribers in Hangzhou exceed 10,000 as of today, according to the Hangzhou Daily Press Group, reports China Knowledge.

"HDPG launched its SMS newspaper subscription service in January this year. Zhejiang Daily Group, the main competitor of HDPG in Hangzhou, recently launched its SMS newspaper subscription to reach out to its readers even though the group is reported to be making losses.

Mobile phone users can browse from 20-30 news stories from 100 to 200 words through this SMS newspaper subscription service.
