Frantic SMS flood TV channels for inundated Mumbai

Frantic SMS messages from desperate citizens stuck in the vortex of Mumbai as well as those trying to reach friends and relatives from different parts of the country flooded television channels Wednesday, reports Web India.

"Incessant rains left thousands stranded in offices, railway stations and other places for more than 24 hours as the Mumbai local train network came to a standstill and telephone and cellular phone service were rendered useles"s.
