Cell phones turning black and blue

englishe_tech20050726011005.JPG The ubiquitous silver cell phone is giving way to the dark hues of black and blue, according to JoongAng Daily.

"At the forefront of the "black boom" was Samsung Electronics and Pantech & Curitel, which both came out with black phones in April.

Samsung Electronics has sold 250,000 "blue-black" phones since it released it in late April, an average of 2,500 a day.

The color apparently appeals not just to Koreans but foreigners as well. Samsung has sold more than 5 million of these phones overseas in only eight months.
