Companies Busy Buying Up Old Cell Phones
There really are companies that want you to go digging around in your kitchen drawer for that old mobile phone you're not using -- and they'll buy it from you, according to the The Associated Press.
"One of them is OldCellPhone.com, which offers anywhere from $1 to $200, depending on the model.
OldCellPhone.com President Rob Newton said some old wireless phones can be put back into circulation, others are valuable for parts that can be reused. Newton said 100 percent of every phone is recycled -- nothing is thrown away.
You log on to the site, submit some information about your phone and the company will send you a shipping box with a prepaid label. Later you get a check.
A similar site is CellForCash.com."
