Yahoo! UK and Ireland launches mobile price check
Yahoo! UK and Ireland has launched a new mobile service which allows consumers to check prices on the move, using Yahoo! WAP services, reveals Netimperative.
Price and product information will be provided by the Yahoo-owned comparison service Kelkoo. The service is accessible on all WAP enabled phones at standard browsing rates and will cover 3 million product offers and more than 5000 UK retailers.
Users can access the site on the WAP site, where they can type the product in the search box and click on the “Products” button. The results screen display images, pricing and product information, allowing customers to compare prices on similar products.
Dorothea Arndt, from Kelkoo said: “Mobile price comparison is a major step towards aligning the on and offline shopping experience and brings us significantly closer to achieving our mission of making shopping simple for everyone.”
