Mobile phone wedding in high waters and rains

Due to the torrential rains pounding Gujarat for the past week, Rail and road links have been cut off between Thane and Narmada, where the of families of Asif Khan Jahurkhan Pathan and Sumaiyabanu Nazirahmed Faimi respectely live. Amid the high waters and rains, the mobile phone today came in handy to wed the couple, reports Hindu News.
The groom and the bride, unable to get together, took the marriage vows over mobile phones in a 'nikah' performed by a 'kazi' sitting at the groom's house.
It took half-an-hour to perform and a lawyer and two witnesses were also called in.
