Singapore Post office offers SMS "lost and found alerts"
Every post box in Singapore now functions as a "lost and found" department for misplaced keys and owners are notified by SMS, according to Channel News Asia.
"Under the new lost and found service for keys launched by KeyPost together with Singapore's Post Offices, subscribers get a metal tag with a personalised code number.
The tag has a simple message in English and Mandarin for those who find the lost keys,"Please drop me unpacked into the next postbox."
Postal workers can find the address, cell phone number or e-mail adress within 24 hours. The success rate of returning lost items is up to 90 percent."
