Korea's cell phones

The Korea Times has an interesting article on the vast selection of phone available in Korea, breaking them down into several categories: Expensive phones, Cheap Phones, Ultra Thin Phones, Lightest Phones and Heavy Story Phones.

"In Korea, the nation's mobile phone makers combine to release around 400 new models every year.

In fact, the nation is second to none in rolling out new cell phones headed by its dynamic trio of handset vendors - Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and Pantech Group.

According to U.S.-based tech consultant iSuppli, Korean makers provide more than 27 percent of 2,700 different cell phone models available today in the global market".
