"This was one of the themes students of Lorenzo de Zavala Middle School focused on while designing digital stories of the world as they see it today.

Stories on drugs, racism and politics were produced in Irving ISD middle schools as part of a global arts initiative through the International Youth Foundation and Nokia.

Carried out in more than 20 countries including Mexico and China, the Make a Connection program empowers youth to become caring and responsible using technology and art as methods of self-expression.

During the event, Nokia also launched the Nokia Mobile Learning Institute, a new educational program integrating traditional curriculum with mobile communication technologies".
