Cell Phone Leads To Murder Suspect
According to WKRC 12 Cincinnati, GPS technology helped local police arrest an accused killer Saturday.
"Fernando Roberson, 31, was suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend Saturday morning near Ann Arbor, Michigan. Hours later he was handcuffed by Cincinnati Police along I-75.
Authorities had a lead on his whereabouts the entire time because of a cell phone. Every time he placed a call on his cell phone, police said he was being tracked by satellite. The global positioning system which helps 911 dispatchers track down callers in emergencies is proving to be a valuable crime fighting tool as well."
