Heroin syndicate cell phone codes cracked

Australian and Indonesian police have cracked the PIN codes of the Bali nine heroin syndicate's mobile phones, gaining vital information on their contacts in Australia and overseas, according to The Age.

"Australian Federal Police and the Bali narcotics bureau were able trace phone calls made by the syndicate leaders to the drug traffickers who sold them the heroin.

They also have the records of phone calls to Sydney to organise the delivery of the drugs by four "mules", who were arrested at Bali international airport with 8.3 kilograms of heroin strapped to their bodies.

It could also give them the identity of "Pinocchio", the contact whom the mules were to telephone on arrival in Sydney."
