Gold festival in two states starts Saturday

_1300362_gold_india150.jpg To prevent the glitter of gold from fading away among consumers, the World Gold Council will launch a month-long festival in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, sarting Saturday, reports Team India.

"The festival aims to re-create the buyer's interest in gold, which has declined in recent years as people were more interested in buying homes and consumer items such as mobile phones, refrigerators, televisions and microwaves."

"Earlier their best bet was to invest in gold, but now they want to buy other things."
