A campaign to store next-of-kin details in your cell phone
File under a great idea.
Mobile phone operator Vodafone has launched a campaign to urge people to store next-of-kin details in their mobile phones, reports This is Bristol.
"By entering the letters ICE - In Case of Emergency - into the mobile's phone book, users can log the name and number of someone who should be contacted.
The idea was developed by the East Anglian Ambulance Trust and backed by Vodafone.
"By adopting the ICE advice, your mobile will now also help the rescue services quickly contact a friend or relative - which could be crucial in a life or death situation."
