Teen sends 8,000 texts a month
17-year-old New Zealand Christchurch sales assistant Robert Vavey sends a staggering 8000 text messages a month - an average of one every four minutes every waking hour, according to The New Zealand Herald.
"And these days he is positively restrained compared to how prolific he was last year, when Telecom's unlimited $10 text plan saw him fire out more than 15,000 texts a month.
For Mr Vavey, who spends around $280 a month on his mobile account, the appeal of texting is simple: it's the convenience."
