Two charged with burglary after cell phone inadvertently calls 911
When one of thieves cell phone dialled 911 inadvertently, the police overheard their plans, according to The Rogersville Review.
"A pair of Church Hill men (Rogersville, TN) have been charged with burglary and theft after one of the men inadvertently made a 911 call from a cell phone that allowed authorities to overhear their plans, authorities claim.
But this is the interesting part:
The report notes Arnold had a cell phone in a pocket in his pants, which authorities believe was the source of the telephone call. According to Jackson the phone was the type where if the number “9” is pressed it automatically dials 911."
Another good reason not to keep a cell phone in one's back pocket!
