Italians heading to Rome informed via SMS

w040346a.jpg In the next hours the Italian National Guard will send SMS bulletins to inform Italian citizens about the situation in Rome, where millions of people are expected and have already arrived to say the last goodbye to the Pope, reports MMOM via Reuters (in Italian).

"Guido Bertolaso, the National Guard's chief, said the messages will be sent to every Italian and he added he's sorry if the SMS' will be received also by people who aren't interested in the matter.

He hopes Italians will understand and not complain about it. The situation with millions of pilgrims heading to Rome is very complicated and there is no other way to keep the population constantly informed".
