Vodafone Italia offers service to marathon runners

bresciamarathon.gif Mobile operator Vodafone Italia is partnering the third edition of the Brescia Marathon and is making a free service available to the race organisers, which is to enable the athletes to have their race times sent directly to their mobile phones. [via DMeurope].

"With the service, runners will be able to read off their finishing times on their mobiles in real time, without having to await the arrival of all the participants or the overall finishing order, but immediately after crossing the line.

Vodafone is also offering the people of Brescia and anyone else interested the chance to receive information and news about what's happening on Sunday and about the marathon. "
