UK. Text a problem about the environment

A new service in the UK is allowing residents to report environmental problems by text message, according to the Paddington Times.

"The Council of London borough Hammersmith and Fulham is behind the new system, which may incorporate photo messaging in the future.

Residents can alert staff to problem areas by texting the council's hotline number on 60660. They will receive an automated response letting them know that the message has been received.

From there, officers will be dispatched to deal with the problem, the local authority said."
