Sun-powered parking meters for city
Solar-powered parking meters capable of accepting credit cards and payment via mobile phone are to be installed in central Sydney, reports The Brisbane Courier Mail.
"Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore said the meters were already in use in North Sydney.
City of Sydney council said the mPark technology would also allow motorists to receive an SMS message on their mobile phone warning them their parking has almost expired".
