Cell phone gaming: Shake the Phone

shakephone.jpgKTF announced Thursday the launch of a Motion Pack service that enables users to play mobile games by shaking the phone, without manipulating a keypad, reports Seon-ju Lee for Telecoms Korea.

"Handsets subscribed to the service can digitize physical data generated when they are shaken thanks to MAP (Motion Action Provider), an external chip that can be linked to USB. With the chip, users don't need to bother to buy devices recognizing motions now being developed by Samsung and Pantech & Curitel."
