Field marketers armed with electronic tags

hypertaggg.bmpBritish mobile marketing company Hypertag has launched a wearable version of its tags so far used in interactive poster advertising, reports Netimperative.

The wearable Hypertags will enable field marketers to send content direct to consumer's mobile phones from a fully portable interactive tag.

Hypertags are wireless devices, which send information to mobile phones via infra-red or Bluetooth. When a mobile phone user sees an hypertag, a small electronic device, they simply point and click at it with their infrared-equipped mobile or PDA to instantly access a relevant web page on screen or receive content such as vouchers, business cards, ringtones or games.

Rachel Harker, co-founder of Hypertag, said: "Hypertags have proven their worth in poster advertising for major brands and the wearable devices open up a new route for brands to incorporate interactive content into their marketing.
"Mobile phones are the communication device of choice for a wide demographic and by incorporating them into field marketing communications brands can talk to their consumers in a way that is relevant to them," Harker added.
