Mobile-phone controlled robot
The world's first mobile phone-controlled robot is to be launched in Japan next month, reports Ananova.
The robot can be made to walk, jump and wave its hands via Bluetooth over a range of up to 10 metres.
The aluminum robot will be sold online as a self-assembly kit for about £1,000 ($ 1'800).
It has been created by KDDI and I Bee KK and is operated by a Toshiba mobile phone.
The robot is designed for entertainment but KDDI and I Bee hope to also turn it into a roving home security camera.
