Norway: Many near-accidents due to cell phone use
Something to think about. Talking on the phone while driving is a danger, particularly for emergency vehicles.
Hans Martin Aase, leader of an ambulance organization in Oslo, is one of people who daily have problems with people's illegal cell phone use, reports Nettavisen.
«It has been many near-accidents because of drivers who have cut in right in front of us without looking,» Aase said. «They expose both themselves and others for danger.»
More than 2600 persons have been fined for illegal cell phone use, an increase of 42 percent compared to last year".
