Invigilators sent test answers by SMS

Invigilators* in Kashmir have been accused of using mobile phones to help their "blue-eyed" students during the annual class X examinations, a report said on Monday, reports the The Hindustan Times.

"The invigilators sent answers of the questions through short messaging service (SMS) to their favourites," the Greater Kashmir newspaper said.

A government official said the State Board of School Education was probing the allegation. Thousands of students are presently appearing for the annual class X examination in Kashmir-

Most of the invigilators are teachers, who provide private tuition to students for a monthly fee".

(*an invigilator is the person who watches over students taking an exam, to ensure there is no cheating).
