SK Headquarters Designed to Resemble Cell Phone

200412050026_00.jpg SK Group's new headquarters in Euljiro 2-ga in central Seoul is a uniquely designed building attracting attention from passers-by with its reflective surfaces. The so-called "T-Tower," tapers to a blunt edge with an unusual kink at the level of the 27th floor in visual mimicry of a cellular phone, reports Digital Chosunilbo.

"The uniquely designed building is attracting attention from passers-by with its reflective surfaces. The so-called "T-Tower," tapers to a blunt edge with an unusual kink at the level of the 27th floor in visual mimicry of a cellular phone.

SK Group said that they decided to design the building in a form of a mobile phone because it will be occupied by its affiliate, SK Telecom.

T-Tower stands 33 floors above ground level and extends six floors beneath street level. It was designed by Hong Kong-based architecture company RAD, which is responsible for the exterior of Seoul's Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel."
