Worldwide mobile phone shipments total 170m in Q3

Worldwide mobile phone shipments totaled 170m units in the third quarter, up from 168.5m in the second quarter, according to electronics research firm Isuppli. The first three quarters of 2004 saw shipments totalling 508m units. [via DM Europe]
