MPs 'threatened via SMS'

Members of Bahrain's parliament's legislative and legal committee are being intimidated by anonymous SMS messages calling on them to veto the proposed new laws on rallies and vigils, it was claimed last night, reports the Gulf Daily News.

"The messages threaten to open the "doors of hell" on the same MPs if they approve the draft law on political societies which is also being discussed by parliament".
