Mobile LBS finds blood donors

blooddoner3.jpg KTF and Korean Red Cross provide emergency blood donation service using handsets, the mobile operator announced Tuesday, reports Telecoms Korea.

"Subscribers who have agreed to receive urgent messages calling for blood donation can give their blood voluntarily.

The service is carried out through Cell Broadcasting System (CBS)-based radio channel which divides the nation into several sections so that the messages are delivered under the optimum conditions."
