Radio DJ helps save the life of listener
A radio presenter's quick actions helped save the life of a distressed listener who contacted the show by text messaging after taking an overdose, reports The Evening Times Online.
"The cry for help from the troubled young woman came via a mobile phone text message to Shereen Tulloch, host of Real Radio's late-night Real Love show, Scotland.
Shereen, 30, received a number of texts from the listener to her live love dilemmas show before a message saying she had taken an overdose.
Shereen said: "The young woman telephoned the show as well and sounded sleepy so I decided just to call the police.
"They were fantastic and were able to use a tracking device to find out where she had called from. "
